Sailing Ships – Little Women Quote

   In the novel Little Women Amy makes this statement after speaking of fair weather.  Not only is this a great quote that stands alone, it’s even better placed within its complete context.  One would assume that the speaker was currently facing a magnificent storm; in order to make such a statement. However, this scene shows quite the opposite setup.  Although good days and sunny days, may be the current condition or forecast; thunderstorms, rainfalls, and undesirable weather are all sure to come.  So we must not only be unafraid, we must be prepared for those unforeseeable conditions that will arise, and fight against all odds to keep courage, endurance, and faith regardless of the circumstances that attempt to conquer us.

So even when you see the storm approaching ahead, keep your cool.  Keep your peace, and sail your ship right over to the other side of those clouds; that’s where the sun is.
